Rescued III

Welcome to Rescued

Many of you are familiar with how God has called worship ministry teams to go to the Czech Republic on short term outreach projects in 2011 and again in 2012. Your help through prayer support, financial support, baking yummies for bake sale, participation in the project itself and even praying us off at the airport has made such projects possible. Thank you!
Jared and Daniela Kenning have invited us to return with a team in April/May of 2015. We’ve been praying that God would bring together a support team in the Czech Republic as well as a vision for how to best serve, encourage and witness to the people we encounter. God has answered both of these requests. We are very excited to hear that we are to be used not only in concerts and choir workshops, but also in smaller workshops for teams who lead worship. We’ll be encouraging the Kennings and promoting their ministry. One of their main focuses is Travna, a place of ministry in the northern mountains where many young people have come to know and accept Christ. This is a very exciting time in history as the love of Jesus is slowly spreading amongst the youth culture. They are hungry for truth and while the post-communist culture is not answering their questions about life, faith in Jesus is.

We need your prayer more than anything else! Please use the stories and requests below to pray specifically for the work that our Lord is doing through Rescued and the Czech people.

Olomouc Concert #1

How to put into words the many and diverse emotions and experiences of what we were privileged to see God do this weekend and tonight at our first official concert in Olomouc? Hearts open, understanding of what it means to worship deepened, and many more smiles, clapping, and friends than we could have expected...even down to a boy we met on the street yesterday attending. Several said it was like a wonderful reunion. WOW! So many answered prayers!

We began our day helping lead worship at a baptist church. It was amazing! With the Czech worship leaders, we sang back and forth in English and Czech, with words in both languages on the big screen (well, WE really only sang the English, but some of the Czechs sang both). We had a fabulous reminder in the sermon on Daniel that trusting God leads to amazing things!

We joined up for setup & rehearsal in the early afternoon with the 50 local singers who learned half our songs Friday & Saturday. Between rehearsal & our 5 pm concert, many warm conversations were had with people we now consider dear Czech friends.

Tonight's concert packed out a large room in a beautiful museum in Olomouc. We had no idea who or how many would attend, and it turned into a standing room only event with over 200 in the audience, not counting the 50 workshop singers! We observed people reading the lyrics intently in Czech on the screen while we sang. All responded with incredible enthusiasm when both Adrianne and Zach spoke in quite fluent Czech!

From someone new to Rescued, I have been overwhelmed at the reception and response. God has gone before us paving the road we are simply walking now. He has used many, many wonderful Czech believers to coordinate, plan, invite, and bake! The overall response our team felt today was 'humbled' to just be a small part of God's work.

Thank you, dear friends at home and around the world, for your prayers. They have not gone unheard. Please continue to pray for protection and healing. We are mostly better and were able to all be at the concert, but 2 local Czech team members have been suffering the stomach troubles as well, cause still unknown. Thank you! (In Czech, thank you sounds like 'de quee').

  1. Thank you for this beautiful update!!! I continue to pray and ask the Lord to go before you each day....for His name to be known, for a revival, for the power of Christ to break the shackles of bondage and imprisonment. May HE set their hearts free.

  4. We are praising that tummies seem better and enough strength for the huge day yesterday. We are praying for health and strength to continue and for some rest on your day off today. We sing and smile with the videos, and I dance along!

  5. It is exciting to hear how God's image stamped on you and His grace through you is encouraging believers there and drawing those He has chosen. Glad to hear of your day of rest and fellowship. I have been praying for those who were sick. I really enjoy the news and photos.

  7. Our God is good! You are His hands, His feet, His voice in a land that so desperately needs Him. He called the best to be His light! Well done good and faithful servants!
