Rescued III

Welcome to Rescued

Many of you are familiar with how God has called worship ministry teams to go to the Czech Republic on short term outreach projects in 2011 and again in 2012. Your help through prayer support, financial support, baking yummies for bake sale, participation in the project itself and even praying us off at the airport has made such projects possible. Thank you!
Jared and Daniela Kenning have invited us to return with a team in April/May of 2015. We’ve been praying that God would bring together a support team in the Czech Republic as well as a vision for how to best serve, encourage and witness to the people we encounter. God has answered both of these requests. We are very excited to hear that we are to be used not only in concerts and choir workshops, but also in smaller workshops for teams who lead worship. We’ll be encouraging the Kennings and promoting their ministry. One of their main focuses is Travna, a place of ministry in the northern mountains where many young people have come to know and accept Christ. This is a very exciting time in history as the love of Jesus is slowly spreading amongst the youth culture. They are hungry for truth and while the post-communist culture is not answering their questions about life, faith in Jesus is.

We need your prayer more than anything else! Please use the stories and requests below to pray specifically for the work that our Lord is doing through Rescued and the Czech people.

A Special Lady

Many of us would love to meet this dear saint and visit her at the "Embassy of the Kingdom of Heaven".

Meet Ludmilla,

Bake Sale Success

Děkuji(Thank you)

We, the Czech Short Term Global Outreach team, RESCUED, are overwhelmed by the generosity of support in prayer and finances our church family has demonstrated. Your love was first expressed during our Christmas Ornament sale and it was poured out again last Sunday as you donated your home baked goodies and money. You all made our bake sale a huge success.

Rescued has been meeting as a team and rehearsing our music for a couple of months. We have a little more than 2 more months of preparation before we leave for Olomouc, Czech Republic. You can follow our progress of preparation and read what God will be doing through us while we are in the Czech Republic at http://rescued3.blogspot.com

We have been blessed with a support team of prayer warriors that has reached over 100! Please continue to pray for us and the people of Czech as each of us prepare our hearts for a ministry of worship. We have nearly met an interim goal of 75%  financial support, which is the level needed before we can purchase airline tickets. We are asking God to raise this amount in His time.

From Rescued, děkuji!

Here's a glimpse into an early rehearsal. The music is starting to come together!

Rescued held another practice session last Tuesday night in Peter Billings' "Barn", a very special place in his backyard. Reminds me of a place Johnny Cash would have behind his house where he would go jam and hang out.

This video of "Oh How I Need You", music by Leslie Jordan, David Leonard, S. Garland, P. Mabury was filmed by Peter's daughter.

In addition to practice sessions, we are also about half way through our training for Short Term Global Outreach as we prepare for our trip to the Czech Republic April 21-May 6, 2015. We continue to study Paul's lessons to the Philippians as we grow as team, "standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel..." (Phil 1:27b)

We are so excited at the outpouring of support we have received. We have a whole army of prayer warriors supporting this team, and we could use all your prayer support as we prepare to leave.
