Rescued III

Welcome to Rescued

Many of you are familiar with how God has called worship ministry teams to go to the Czech Republic on short term outreach projects in 2011 and again in 2012. Your help through prayer support, financial support, baking yummies for bake sale, participation in the project itself and even praying us off at the airport has made such projects possible. Thank you!
Jared and Daniela Kenning have invited us to return with a team in April/May of 2015. We’ve been praying that God would bring together a support team in the Czech Republic as well as a vision for how to best serve, encourage and witness to the people we encounter. God has answered both of these requests. We are very excited to hear that we are to be used not only in concerts and choir workshops, but also in smaller workshops for teams who lead worship. We’ll be encouraging the Kennings and promoting their ministry. One of their main focuses is Travna, a place of ministry in the northern mountains where many young people have come to know and accept Christ. This is a very exciting time in history as the love of Jesus is slowly spreading amongst the youth culture. They are hungry for truth and while the post-communist culture is not answering their questions about life, faith in Jesus is.

We need your prayer more than anything else! Please use the stories and requests below to pray specifically for the work that our Lord is doing through Rescued and the Czech people.

Choir Workshop

Christ is risen.

Friday night about 45 people showed up to participate in the Choir workshop. The plan has been to teach this group 7 of our songs and then invite them to be a part of our first concert this Sunday afternoon. What an amazing group they are. Not only are they learning new songs, but they are learning them in a foreign language! They are quick learners and they are singing loud praises.

And in our weakness He is strong.

Last night some of our team members became ill. It was a long night for us all with little or no sleep. Folks are feeling a little better, but we are not over it. So pray for healing for the sick and rest/protection for the rest. Two of the local Czech team members are also feeling sick, so pray for the entire team.

Saturday morning we 'woke' early to get ready for another full day of choir workshop, minus two of our members. We adapted well and had a most wonderful time learning more songs and then rehearsing the entire playlist a couple of times. For the last round of music we moved outside into the courtyard and circled the wagons. What a blessing it was to watch everyone's faces and hear their voices as they sang praise to our risen Lord. We were all blessed. What an amazing God we serve, who through our weakness demonstrated His strength and might. People heard our songs and were drawn in from the street.

He is risen indeed!

Tomorrow morning we help lead worship at the Baptist church. In the afternoon we have concert with the members of the workshop, in one of Olomouc's museums. We are praying that many more will be drawn in to hear God's word in song this Sunday afternoon.
