Rescued III

Welcome to Rescued

Many of you are familiar with how God has called worship ministry teams to go to the Czech Republic on short term outreach projects in 2011 and again in 2012. Your help through prayer support, financial support, baking yummies for bake sale, participation in the project itself and even praying us off at the airport has made such projects possible. Thank you!
Jared and Daniela Kenning have invited us to return with a team in April/May of 2015. We’ve been praying that God would bring together a support team in the Czech Republic as well as a vision for how to best serve, encourage and witness to the people we encounter. God has answered both of these requests. We are very excited to hear that we are to be used not only in concerts and choir workshops, but also in smaller workshops for teams who lead worship. We’ll be encouraging the Kennings and promoting their ministry. One of their main focuses is Travna, a place of ministry in the northern mountains where many young people have come to know and accept Christ. This is a very exciting time in history as the love of Jesus is slowly spreading amongst the youth culture. They are hungry for truth and while the post-communist culture is not answering their questions about life, faith in Jesus is.

We need your prayer more than anything else! Please use the stories and requests below to pray specifically for the work that our Lord is doing through Rescued and the Czech people.

Unified through Christ

The Czech team has met twice now. Our first meeting was Saturday Nov 22 for an all day Orientation with the Cole Community Church Short Term Global Outreach Committee. We started our study of Paul's letter to Philippians, who were his partners in the Gospel. We will continue to study Philippians throughout our team training meetings between now until we depart for the Czech Republic on April 21st. What a wonderful time of introductions and team building. It was an exciting day.

Our first "Team meeting" was held Dec. 9th where we continued our study in Philippians. We learned that Paul was unified in his work with many team members; those with him, those who he sent to the Philippians, and those who were sent and ministered to him. They were unified in their love of Christ through prayer and thanksgiving for one another. Each one of Paul's team had strengths that Paul recognized and used. Similarly, our team is larger than the 10 of us. It includes those here at home who are supporting and holding us up in prayer; Jared and Daniela Kenning in Czech, and our church elders.

We discussed team roles for which we are all excited to jump into the deep end and begin the tasks needed of us for the Czech project. We also started the discussion of raising support. And we are so grateful for the support shown us when we held a Christmas Ornament sale. We are so blessed.

Please pray for us as we continue to develop as a team, recognize our roles, develop our strengths and prepare to learn music we will share in Czech.

We all wish you a Merry Christmas as we celebrate the first Advent of our Christ, and we pray for His blessings during 2015.
